Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault
Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
