Kansas City Chiefs Acknowledge Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Wide Receiver Rashee Rice
The NFL franchise issued a statement on Wednesday evening stating they have knowledge of claims of abuse circulated in social media posts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and were in communication with the league office.
The organization did not mention Rice specifically in their announcement and said they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, shared a set of images on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has kids with Rice, whom the team drafted in the second round.

No official complaints were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.

He was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
